As we countdown to the U.S. opening match in less than 450 days, the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee is proud to unveil the winning design for the Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Los Angeles Host City Poster. Created by local artist Thieb Delaporte-Richard, the poster blends digital painting, collage, and illustration, with a strong focus on compelling composition and colors to reflect L.A.’s distinctive spirit, energy and the excitement of the World Cup.
More than 900 entrants from across L.A. County participated in the Los Angeles Poster Design Contest last fall, with the final design selected by five of Los Angeles County’s most esteemed experts in public art and cultural exhibitions: renowned curator Ann Philbin, Director of LA County Department of Arts and Culture Kristin Sakoda, multimedia artist Glenn Kaino, printmaker Dewey Tafoya and art collector and philanthropist Joy Simmons. The selection committee was convened by the local philanthropic leader Annenberg Foundation, which the Host Committee worked closely with to reach and elevate emerging local designers and artists for the contest.
