THE CONTEST

The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee invites local artists* to a once-in-a-generation opportunity: Design the official poster for the FIFA World Cup 26 Los Angeles™ and receive up to $20,000!

In addition to bolstering excitement in Los Angeles for the largest single-sport event in history, the winning poster will represent L.A.’s diverse culture, showcase its soccer legacy and model the region’s bold, creative and welcoming spirit.

*Open to Los Angeles County residents age 18 and older. Winners will be required to show proof of age and residency. The submission period for the contest has now closed.

To celebrate L.A. artists, the contest will award $20,000 to one winning design and $2,500 to three finalists. Twelve selected submissions also will receive $500 each.

The Host Committee is working closely with the Annenberg Foundation, leveraging its deep expertise and relationships within the arts community to conduct vast outreach to emerging designers and new artists across Los Angeles.  Selected semi-finalists will be chosen by representatives from the Los Angeles arts community and the winning design chosen in collaboration with FIFA.

Who is eligible to participate in the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 poster design contest?

The contest is open to residents of Los Angeles County who are 18 years or older. Entrants must agree to the contest Terms and Conditions. Proof of eligibility is required to claim prizes. 

What is the deadline to submit?

The contest will begin at 8:00am PT Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and close at 11:59pm PT Sunday, November 17, 2024. Entrants can register and submit one design per registration for consideration at any point during the contest window.

Who selects the winners? What do they win?

Sixteen designs will be selected by a jury of representatives from the Los Angeles arts and cultural sectors, with the grand prize winner selected in collaboration with FIFA.

The contest will award one (1) $20,000 grand prize and $2,500 awards to three finalists. Twelve selected submissions also will receive $500 each.

Are there art requirements or restrictions?

Registered entrants will receive via email an Artist Toolkit, creative guide, related materials and upload instructions after digitally signing the contest Terms & Conditions.  Submissions must be an original design compliant with terms, conditions and artist guidelines, ready for digital reproduction. Further detail and specifications are provided to registered entrants.
