Officials announced Tuesday that a Los Angeles landmark will be the home of the “official hospitality and cultural hub” of Mexico during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, along with the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, officially gave the L.A. Plaza de Cultura y Artes the designation on Tuesday morning. The hub will be known as “Casa Mexico.”
“Casa Mexico Los Angeles 2026 will bring together soccer, culture, and community in the heart of downtown Los Angeles,” mayor’s office officials said in a media statement.
At a press conference Tuesday morning, Bass provided further explanation on what “Casa Mexico Los Angeles 2026” is all about.
