The video series will tell the story of 26 local organizations using soccer to drive meaningful change across the Los Angeles region.
As Los Angeles counts down to hosting eight FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches, the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee, in partnership with the Play Equity Fund, officially launched the 26 Community Champions video series that will spotlight the local nonprofit organizations that were selected for the 26 Champions Grant Program for the profound impact they are making in communities across Los Angeles. Each of the selected organizations received a $26,000 grant award, and now this professionally produced video showcasing the organization, and public recognition of their work in the lead-up to FIFA World Cup 26™.
The Host Committee will distribute one video per week, for the next 26 weeks, that will highlight the stories, missions, and community impact of each of the Community Champions, offering Angelenos and global audiences a deeper look at how these organizations are growing the game of soccer and driving meaningful change throughout the Los Angeles region.
