Award Winning Actor & Philanthropist Eva Longoria Named Official Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Community Ambassador

The famed actor will join the Los Angeles Host Committee as an Official Community Ambassador to help ensure FIFA World Cup 26™ leaves a lasting cultural and community impact across LA.

The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee, led by the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC), is proud to announce that actor Eva Longoria, an international soccer enthusiast and strong advocate for the Latino community in Los Angeles, will serve as an Official Community Ambassador for this once-in-a-generation event. Los Angeles is ready to shine on the global stage, hosting eight World Cup matches, including the U.S. Men’s National Team’s opening game, and 39 days of fan experiences planned throughout the region.

Longoria rose to fame on CBS’s The Young and the Restless and became a household name as Gabrielle Solis on the hit television show, Desperate Housewives. In addition to being an actor, director, producer, Longoria is also an entrepreneur and activist, committed to empowering Latinas everwhere. She established the Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012 to help Latinas build better futures for themselves through education educational programs, scholarships, mentorship, and entrepreneurship.

Additionally, Longoria was an early investor in and is a co-owner of Angel City FC, L.A.’s National Women’s Soccer League team. She is also a co-owner of the Mexican Liga MX soccer team Club Necaxa, where she serves as a board member and executive producer of the docuseries “Necaxa” on FX.
